Mini Ep 45: Connecting with your Heart ~ Guided by Indigo
This inner work exercise is adapted from an exercise known as the Freeze Frame from the HeartMath institute. The core of the HeartMath philosophy is that the heart, physically and metaphorically, is the key to tapping into an intelligence that can provide us with fulfilment. Science has shown that the heart communicates with the body and brain on various different levels.Research has found that the heart communicates on a biochemical level, releasing atrial peptide, a hormone that inhibits the release of other stress hormones. Connecting with our hearts reduces stress and provides us with an inner resource we can access at any time.
Before completing the following exercise, we recommend you take some time to unwind and connect with yourself more deeply. You might like to take a walk, soak in a relaxing bath or sit quietly and sip a cup of your favourite herbal tea. When you’re ready, grab a pen and your journal or some paper and we’ll begin.
