Ep 70 Second Pregnancy: Grief, Loss & Surrender ~ Indigo Melrose
Join us for a tender, raw, and honest conversation about the ups and downs of welcoming a second child into the family. In this episode, Indigo shares her journey as a mother travelling through her second pregnancy. Although Indigo feels deep love for her baby, we also make space for the more taboo and rejected aspects of her pregnancy journey including facing loss of the family unit, gender grief, facing near miscarriage, loss of control and ultimately learning to surrender. Ultimately, this is a conversation about learning to mother the mother within, making space for all that we feel on our journey.
We chat about:
- The family we dream of vs the family we have
- Addressing gender related grief and disappointment
- Coping with the loss of control inherent in motherhood
- Embracing the unexpected journey each child takes us on
- How each child reveals something different within us as mothers
… and so much more
